BNL requires every potential employee to go through a thorough criminal background check prior to being hired. Each applicant and all existing employees are screened using a 7 year look back from Hire Right.

This process is completed in August, prior to the beginning of each school year. The verification process is comprehensive and includes a full criminal history report for federal and local infractions, misdemeanors, felony theft, assault/battery, sex crimes of any nature, misconduct of any kind, involving a minor, kidnapping, weapons, drugs, motor vehicle convictions, and a suspended license. Should any of these queries return positive, BNL will not hire the candidate. Each certification is openly available for the schools and districts to review.
